AM 50 Law Firm seeks an associate with 3-5 years of experience to join the Government Solutions Practice Group in the Washington, DC, office. Alternate Foley office locations may be considered based on business needs and the candidate’s experience.
This position primarily will support the Government Contracts sub-group and will involve bid protest work, counseling clients regarding government contracts compliance, drafting and negotiating government subcontracts, conducting internal investigations / responding to government investigations, and litigation of contract disputes.
It will also involve counseling clients with non-FAR-based contracts such as cooperative agreements, grants, and other transaction agreements.
Qualified candidates must have experience representing clients with federal government contracts and must be familiar with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Department of Defense FAR Supplement (DFARS), and other FAR supplements.
Prior bid protest and contract litigation experience are major advantages. Strong attention to detail and analytical, research, writing, and oral communications skills are required.
Top academics and experience are required. To be considered, a candidate must have strong academic credentials, hold a JD from an ABA-approved law school, and must be in good standing and an active member of the Bar of the jurisdiction in which the candidate is admitted to practice. Timely admission to the Bar coinciding with the office of hire will be a condition of employment.
